What is the difference between VVS1 and VVS2 Diamonds, Moissanite and Lab-Grown Diamonds?
VVS1 and VVS2 are clarity grades used to describe the clarity of a diamond. VVS stands for Very Very Slightly Included.
The difference between VVS1 and VVS2 is the number, size, and location of the inclusions within the diamond. VVS1 diamonds have inclusions that are extremely difficult to see even under 10x magnification, and they are typically located near the edge of the diamond. VVS2 diamonds also have inclusions that are difficult to see under 10x magnification, but they may be slightly more visible than those in VVS1 diamonds.
Overall, both VVS1 and VVS2 diamonds are considered to have excellent clarity and are quite rare and valuable. The choice between the two grades typically comes down to personal preference and budget.
Recommendation:
Unless you are very particular about having a VVS1 clarity grade, you may be better off going with a VVS2 to get more "bang for your buck." Both will typically look the same with the naked eye.
