F&B: Heart to Heart

Welcome back to Blog Wednesdays! It feels as if it was just yesterday that we at F&B were just counting down the days to 2016. It may seem cliché to say, but time really does seem to pass you by at a quicker pace than you’re used to when having fun and keeping busy. February has since made its arrival and love is most positively in the air. Or at least, the persistence of song from beautiful winged creatures outside our windows in the morning seems to have thoroughly convinced us. Valentine’s Day is already underway, blowing up the news feeds of every social media platform. We’re going to save a talk about that for the following week, however, because February has enveloped us in other matters of the heart, literally.  It is National Heart Month and we’d like to dedicate this post to friends, family, as well as our beloved fashion fans (Photo Courtesy Arzt Samui.)

Right along with the CDC and Million Hearts, we encourage you to be kind to yourself and monitor your health and heart. According to the CDC, more than 67 million Americans have high blood pressure, and while this is unfortunate, there are ways to prevent this number from growing. Take notice if your family has a history of HBP. If you find that you’re in heart healthy condition, please continue to take good care of yourself and reflect on what lifestyle choices you can improve on. If in the case you are not, as with any goal in life, we must make the practical changes necessary to get there, one baby step at a time. From Million Hearts, here is a tip sheet on how to make control your goal. We believe this to be of high importance as to truly love another, you must first learn how to love yourself!

Keep healthy, stay happy! Thanks for reading.
