October 2015: The Recap

Fire & Brilliance is here again to revisit some of October’s special moments with you in this month’s recap.

Countless hit TV shows have debuted (and left footprints on the hearts of millions as long-running series) on FOX such as So You Think You Can Dance, The Simpsons, and we can’t forget newly returning The X-files, but among them is another risen gem: Empire. The American drama, based in NYC, revolves around the lives of family members who fight for their right to control the family business, Empire Entertainment, a company built with a passion in music, specifically, hip hop. As pretty big fans of the show, we are excited to hear that star couple Trai Byers and Grace Gealey is officially engaged! Gealey announced the big news on an episode of FABLife earlier this month. See below!

The two met on set and although relationships in the workplace can be tricky to maintain, it is clear that their romance is in full bloom, neither fleeting nor frivolous, but “forreal, forreal,” as Tyra Banks smartly surmises.

And finally, the day has come for us to also reveal that Derek Jeter, former professional baseball shortstop in MLB for the NY Yankees, is no longer a bachelor (some might say he was professional at that as well). After dating some of the most drop-dead gorgeous women in Hollywood and retiring at 40, he’s ready to start a new journey and with none other than young and beautiful supermodel, Hannah Davis (25).

She, who recently graced the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue of this year, met the Yankees legend three years ago and must have made quite the impression. The two have yet to set a date, but seem very much like a match well made.
