Fall into Fashion

Autumn, also referred to as fall, often renders me speechless, in awe of all the little and big changes that happen around us during this time of year. It’s a personal favorite, and I don’t have very many of those. Leaves begin to shed a few at a time and new ones, in hues of orange, red, yellow, and green, take their place. They paint the streets with colors so rich, so saturated all the while dancing with the cool winds as they meet again.

Until we should once more long to bask in the heat of wild summers, we tuck those pastels, bright colors and short-length styles away for another time. Accessories, clothes, shoes that were once too hot to wear are now fashionably hot to wear. In fact, Vogue, the most coveted magazine company (or Holy Grail) for all things relevant to forward-thinking fashion, highly favors fall fashion as their annual September issue is traditionally their most important of the year. And who can blame them?

Socks can be fun again; boots can go above mid-calf. Scarves, hats, and gloves can now engulf you in warmth and flavorful glamour. Watches, rings, necklaces, earrings, and arm cuffs can help your wardrobe come alive with enough shimmer to outshine the rest. With so many choices, dressing up becomes less of a chore and it’s likely you won’t repeat an ensemble! And if you still wanted to wear those shorts or that tank top from the season before, there is beauty in layering and playing with colors and prints.

Wearing less has become a thing of the past; more options can very well mean more personality to your #OOTD’s (outfit of the day). And might you give thought to wearing Marsala, color of 2015 during this fall? It pairs very nicely with everything else in the color palette. So play it up, be bold, fall into fashion! We won’t judge.
