Rachel & Yvette
Yvette's Perspective
I met Rachel at a mutual friend's birthday party at Red Robin in December 2014 and that's where she paid for my drink for the first time. Before the party I already knew a little about Rachel and I was already interested in meeting her and getting to know her. After that party I reached out to her, looked for her on Facebook, added her and officially started talking to her on September 15, 2015. We started to spend more time together for a month and I made it official on October 10, 2015. Now I can't wait to marry her and spend the rest of my life with her!
Rachel's Perspective
I did not know I was going to fall in love with the most amazing girl when she first started talking to me. At first, I wasn't replying back to her but only because I didn't go on social media at all. She tried for a year to talk to me and I finally started to really talk to her in September 2015. From the moment I gave her my number, we haven't gone a day without talking. I fell in love with her the day we went to the park on our first date-ish thing. We were on the swings and I would just ask her about herself and I would tell her she was cute. Whenever she got embarrassed, she pointed at a squirrel and screamed "Squirrel!" It was so cute and pure, of course I fell in love. And I fall deeper everyday. She is my soulmate, my other half, my everything. And now soon, I get to also call her my wife! I couldn't ask for anything better.
The Proposals
Rachel: I proposed first. I completely surprised her the day after Thanksgiving. My whole family was in on it. My mom told Yvette and I that “she” got tickets for the aquarium to have VIP access with early admission. So we all went. My parents, my sister and her fiancé, Yvette and me. We were by the jellyfish and I was nervous. On the way down there, I was freaking out. I didn’t know what I was going to say. I thought I was going to fall because I am so clumsy. But when we got there, when it was time, I was calm. She is my other half, and I never want to spend a day without her. I got down on one knee, asked her to be my wife, and now we get to plan for the next chapter in our lives.
Yvette: I was nervous AF. I was shaking and all my insides were weird. It was our 3 year anniversary and I only planned it a few hours before. All of her co workers were in on it. They told her everyone was taking ID pictures and had to go into a room for them. When she went in, I came into the office with flowers. As she was walking out, she very confused because everyone was looking at her with their phones out. She saw me and said “Babe?” she was still very confused. I was still shaking and nervous but I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. We were both crying and there were cameras everywhere because F&B wanted to record everything. It was perfect. Yvette: I LOVE my ring. Blue and Hearts = Perfect. She really got exactly what I wanted without me even knowing. The moment that I saw the ring, I knew it was the perfect one. IT’S MINE!
Rachel: I am obsessed with trillion stones! I was a little nervous at first before I got my ring. Since I am working with rings all day, I always get new ideas and see different styles, I didn’t even know for sure what I wanted. But once I saw it, I just could never imagine another ring being on my finger. It is so perfect! And apparently, I am really hard on my hands (always banging my ring on the most random things. Mostly doors for some reason) so the Bezel center with channel shank is absolutely perfect!
