Justine & Jesus

Jesus and I actually met many years ago. We dated briefly, but life took us in different directions - which turned out to be the best gift of all. We both grew as individuals tremendously, and when we had the chance to reconnect almost seven years later, it felt... right. Perfect. An absolute dream come true. I think we both knew right off the bat that this was it. We're both equally aware of how rare and special our connection is - I love that guy more than anything, and I know he feels the same exact way.

Fast forward to present day: Like I said, we knew almost immediately that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, but we played it cool and took as much time as we could (almost two years) before browsing for rings. A few months ago, Jesus and I were poking around, and I had mentioned Fire & Brilliance. As we were both scrolling through F&B's Instagram page, we just fell in love. Not only is choosing moissanite environmentally-friendly (right up my alley), but F&B designs are GORGEOUS... with an option to customize?... SOLD.

In the days leading up the proposal, I had no idea it was going down. We booked an AirBnB in Seattle, just a little weekend getaway before Jesus left for a two week conference in California. We're both photographers, and we're always taking photos together, naturally... so when suggested that we head upstairs to the rooftop for a little photo sesh, I didn't think anything of it.

Before I knew it, he was down on one knee, asking me to be his wife. The best part is, he had the tripod set up, and he got the whole thing on video. I couldn't be happier. I would have said "yes" if he asked to me marry him with a Ring Pop, but it only adds to the magic that my ring's absolutely stunning and everything I could ever have wanted.

Our experience with Fire & Brilliance was wonderful. They've been extremely helpful, thoughtful, and efficient. My rings (engagement + wedding band) were a custom order, and Jesus had them in his hands within two weeks. Pretty. Dang. Cool.

JESUS: All of them. She's the light in my life and brings me so much happiness, I couldn't choose just one.
JUSTINE: When I think of Jesus, I think of blue. He's the calming, comforting force in my life and I don't know where I'd be without him.
