Q: When did you first meet and how?

A: My fiancé and I met at University of California San Diego during the summer of our freshman year. I was sitting in Geisel Library studying for a class that I was taking at the time when a guy (now my fiancé) leaned over and asked if I wanted some study materials for the class since he had just taken it with the same professor. I didn't think too much about it until he showed up later that week with a stack of papers in his hand. He added me on Facebook and we chatted for a bit. A few days later, I was studying at the same library at the computer section and rushed to class without logging out of my account. He saw what had happened and messaged me on Facebook about it and logged out of the computer for me. I thought he was really nice and considerate so when he asked me out for our first date, I had to say yes.

Q: What about the design made you choose this ring to be the one?

A: I really wanted a simple, classic, and elegant design that I know would stand the test of time.

Q: In each your own words, can you describe what the days leading up to the proposal were like? Can you tell us about the proposal?

A: We have been dating for six years and had been talking a lot about wanting to get engaged soon. I really wanted it to happen soon just because we have been talking about it for so long but nothing has happened yet. I totally thought that he wouldn't be able to surprise me since I am really good at finding things out. On the day of the proposal, he was doing a medical rotation in another city and had told me that he was going to drive back to visit me that night. I had a night class that night and before going into the class, I got a text from him that he was driving back but had to turn around because the rotation site emailed him saying that he does not have the day off the next day. I was really looking forward to seeing him so I was really bummed out about it. I was texting him to get more information but he didn't text me back. I assumed that was because he was driving. When my class was over, I called him just to confirm and he said the exact same thing. I was getting kinda upset because they changed his schedule at such last minute. I got home from class to see candles lit in the living room and a box of green tea donuts on the table with the words "Will you marry me?" written on it and him walking out of the room with one donut that said "Yes" and another donut that said "No" on each hand. I was so surprised and happy to see him. I started crying because I was so upset thinking he wasn't able to come home before. He got down on one knee and of course, I said yes and took a huge bite of the "Yes" donut!

Q: How was your overall experience with Fire & Brilliance? How did you first hear about us?

A: We first heard about Fire & Brilliance through YouTube when we were trying to learn more about diamond alternatives, specifically moissanite. All the educational videos that Fire & Brilliance had on their channel were so informative and thorough that it made us more confident in choosing moissanite as our center stone. We had a great experience with Fire & Brilliance. We had a design, a stone size in mind and Fire & Brilliance worked hard to put our vision to life.

Even though Fire & Brilliance didn't have the stone size we wanted in stock, they were able to contact their vendors and get us exactly what we wanted very promptly. We designed our own rings and Fire & Brilliance provided renders of the design at different angles. They also allowed us to make changes to the design to make sure it was exactly what we wanted.

Q: If you could describe 3 of your favorite aspects of each other, what would they be?

A: Loyal - through out our 6+ year relationship, my fiancé has always give me firm and constant support in every decision that I make, big or small, whether it is to pursue a new career or simply try out a new clothing trend (haha).

Dependable - I always know that I can depend on my fiancé whether it is during hardship, when we have to make hard decisions, or just the day to day dilemma of what should we eat for dinner.

Understanding - I can be short tempered and unreasonable at times but my fiancé is always so understanding and patient with me.
