Q: When did you first meet and how?

A: We first met in undergrad at our job on campus. Our manager always paired new employees with a veteran employee and luckily for me, we were paired together!

Q: What about it made you choose this ring design to be the one?

A: I have always been obsessed with emerald cuts and the "Venice" (CS112) in particular caught my eye a few years ago. I often joked and told my best friend I wanted my engagement ring to have lots of *friends* meaning, diamonds on the band. Since the Venice’s original design didn’t have a diamond band, I was sad because I was so in love with it. But THEN, I learned about the endless possibilities of customizing with F&B and it was all uphill from there.

Q: What was the proposal like? 

A: This past Valentine’s Day weekend, he told me to wear a nice all black dress because we were going to our favorite brunch spot. In my mind, I asked myself why would I get dressed up to go there? Lol - but anyway, I put on a nice black dress liked he asked, some nice heels and we went on our way. We stopped at a hotel he used to work at and they valeted his car. From that moment, I knew something was in the works but, I kept my cool because I didn’t want to overthink anything. When we walked inside the hotel to go to the restaurant, he stopped me and asked if I trusted him. I answered, yes. He took of his tie and put it around my eyes and we begin to walk to the restaurant (which I thought was going to be our brunch spot) I’m nervously walking because being blind folded in heels isn’t the safest feeling lol. When he told me to stop, I took off the blind fold and there I see all my family friends and him on one knee! He proposed in the same place where he asked me to be his girlfriend in undergrad! I was surprised, happy and emotional all at once. I said “Omg, Yes!” And now it’s a life-long journey from here.

Q: How did you first hear about us? How was your overall experience with Fire & Brilliance?

A: I remember browsing through the web about the hardness of an aquamarine gemstone and came across moissanite! It was a picture of a MOH scale and moissanite right next to diamond. So I began to look more into it. When I was searching for retailers, I found their prices and customer service not even comparable Fire & Brilliance’s. Even though our design had to be slightly altered, my overall experience with F&B was amazing.

Lastly, we wanted to ask something of each our clients (for yourself or for both of you to answer) to be featured a question that is unique to their story.

 

Q: Where would you live if you could rest your roots anywhere else in the world?

A: If we could rest our roots anywhere in the world it would be Egypt because there so much beauty and history there.
