Q: When did you first meet and how?

A: Tate and I actually went to the same high school together. We aren't your typical "high school sweet heart" couple though, we actually reconnected a few years after graduation through social media and really hit it off. It started with some flirtatious messaging which led to a few first dates, which in the end led to us being completely inseparable and head over heels for each other.

Q: What about the design made you choose this ring to be the one?

A: I have always had a fascination with vintage style rings. Tate knows how much I love the elegant, timeless styles of rings which led him to pick The Duchess for me. He picked it out all by himself and I don't think he could have done a better job. The style of the Duchess is such a beautiful, classy look that I know I will love forever.

Q: In each your own words, can you describe what the days leading up to the proposal were like? Can you tell us about the proposal?

A: The days before the proposal for me were busy. I had no idea a proposal was coming, I was just getting ready and packing for our vacation to Hawaii. Tate was really good at playing it off, he didn't give off any suspicious vibes or anything that led me to expect it. Inside though, he said he was a nervous wreck and wanted to make sure it was as perfect as could be. The proposal was beautiful. Right before sunset on one of our first nights in Maui, Tate asked me to go for a walk on the beach. We were walking in the water and he asked me to turn and look at the sunset so he could take a picture of me. I was staring at the sun setting over the ocean when he told me to turn around, and there he was down on one knee. I bawled like a baby while everyone on the beach cheered. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful proposal. 

Q: How was your overall experience with Fire & Brilliance?

A: Our overall experience with Fire & Brilliance was 12/10. Tate had a few questions and was very impressed with the response time. He also was very impressed with how quick they got the ring shipped to him, especially because he had the ring engraved for me. You can tell how much Fire & Brilliance cares about the satisfaction of their customers.

Q: And lastly, we'd love to share with our followers something personal to your own story: what was your first impression of each other?

A: My first impression of Tate was how overall amazing he was. Our first time hanging out he treated me with so much respect and I don't think there was a second I was with him where I wasn't smiling from ear to ear. I knew instantly that I was going to fall in love with him. He was so funny and handsome and we immediately clicked. Tate said his first impression of me was how beautiful and funny I am. He said I just have this radiating happiness that comes off of me and rubs off on everyone around me. He had never met someone he felt so happy and comfortable with and knew early on that he wanted to spend forever with me. It just took a bit longer for him to get the courage to finally ask (;
