Heidi & Matthew

Q: When did you first meet and how?
A:We first met at Central Connecticut State University where I was studying cultural anthropology and Matthew was studying archaeology. He brought cupcakes into class so I HAD to talk to him. It took two years and 3 different times of me giving him my phone number... for me ultimately PMing him.... where he gave me his number, and then I texted him. He brought those same cupcakes over to my studio and the rest is history.
Q: What about it made you choose this ring design to be the one?
A: Matthew said from the moment I sent him a picture of it he knew it. I love the regal look of the double prongs and how classic the solitaire still is. If you ask Matthew I am a very classic gal who is very European and loves yellow gold.

Q: What was the proposal/wedding like?
A: Let me start by saying I had no idea that I was being proposed to. Mount Washington is my fiance's favorite place and he usually hikes it every year. He could not hike it the first year we dated because I was too weak due to my car accident, but I made it a goal to hike with him the next year.
We set out on our hike that was about 9 miles long. Along the way I almost had to turn around because of an asthma attack. Luckily I found a stranger, Karen who let me borrow her inhaler. So the entire hike was a long haul. I was the last one to make it up there. I told my best friend Matthew and his best friend that I needed to take my time.
When I got to the top I asked for the iconic Jack and Rose picture out-looking the mountains. I was annoyed because I thought no one followed me. Matthew was down on one knee telling me that I make him the happiest he has ever been in his entire life and that he wants to spend the rest of his life making me happy. Of course I said yes.
Q: How did you first hear about us?
A: We heard about you all from IG and and looking up great moissanite stones. I knew I never wanted a diamond.
